The holiday season is all about the sparkle, especially when it comes to wine, and especially on New Year’s Eve. Ingredients such as apple brandy, pear liqueur and wintery spices add seasonal flair for drinks you can enjoy long after the ball has dropped and the holiday decorations are put away.

Amanda’s Holiday Spritz
Course Drinks
Keyword apple brandy, cinnamon, Crop Meyer lemon vodka, sparkling wine, spiced pear liqueur
Makes 25 5-oz. cocktails1 bottle Laird’s 7 ½ Year apple brandy1 bottle St. George spiced pear liqueur12 oz. Cinnamon-anise Demerara syrup12 oz. Fresh lemon juice1 bottle Champagne or dry sparkling wine
Combine ingredients in a punch bowl.
Garnish with dehydrated lemon slices, whole star anise and cinnamon sticks.
For Cinnamon-anise demerara syrup
6 oz. Demerara sugar
6 oz. Boiling hot water
2 Cinnamon sticks
4 Star anise
Combine sugar and water and mix until sugar dissolves.
Add cinnamon and anise and let marinate for 48 hours.
Strain out spices and chill before batching.

Glass Slipper
Course Drinks
Keyword blackberries, elderflower liqueur, Lavender honey, sparkling wine
3 Fresh blackberries4 oz. Sparkling wine¼ oz. St. Germain elderflower liqueur¾ oz. Lavender honey syrup¾ oz. Lemon juice
Muddle blackberries in a shaker tin.
Add everything except sparkling wine and shake.
Double strain into a flute glass.
Top with sparkling wine/Champagne.
Garnish with grapefruit shimmer and an edible orchid.

1 x Holiday spiced ice*1 parts Lillet Rouge4 parts Mumm Sparkling Brut Prestige sparking wine
Add the Holiday Spice Ice to a wine glass.
Follow with Lillet Rouge and then sparking wine.

28 oz. Brewed holiday spice tea
8 Star anise
8 Clementine half wheels
Edible gold flakes
Fill a 2×2” 8-cube silicon ice cube tray with 3-½ oz. of tea each. Top with half clementine wheel, star anise and edible gold flakes. Freeze.

1 oz. Argonaut Fat Thumb brandy½ oz. Fresh lemon juice½ oz. Cranberry juice cocktail2 ½ oz. Dry sparkling wine1 dash Vanilla extract
Combine all ingredients in a shaker tin except the sparkling wine.
Shake with ice and strain into a coupe glass.
Top with sparkling wine.
Garnish with a thyme sprig and a fresh cranberry.

Muddle and shake over ice for 10-15 seconds.
