Renowned for its exceptional quality and smooth taste, Chopin serves as the ideal canvas for our talented bartenders.
When making this cocktail, I turned to the simple Vodka & Cranberry, also known as the Cape Cod. I wanted to make it a little more interesting but still keep its easy drinking appeal. I was inspired to make a more aperitif style cocktail, with the inclusion of Campari and sherry, and topping it with soda. The name is derived from Outer Lands, which is a multi-state region including Block Island (my hometown), Long Island, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Elizabeth Island, and of course, Cape Cod.
Add Chopin Rye Vodka, Campari, Oloroso Sherry, and the Cranberry + Shiso cordial to a highball glass over ice, give a quick stir to combine.
Top with club soda and garnish with a lemon peel.
250 g White Sugar
240 g Cranberry Juice
25 g Citric Acid
5 Shiso Leaves
3 Lime Leaves
Add all ingredients to a blender, blend until sugar and citric acid are dissolved.
Strain.
Ad Astra comes from a Latin phrase meaning “to the stars.” When I think of something as limitless as the stars and space, I think of strong, burning love. Ad Astra, with its deep colors and pop of gold, caresses your heart and guides it on a journey through the universe of love. This deep love comes from all the support I’ve been gracious enough to receive on my journey in the bar industry. Thank you to everyone and I can’t wait to let Ad Astra show you the cosmos.
