Quintessential Expands Spirits Portfolio with Tia Linda’s Margarita

Quintessential, an importer, marketer and distributor of family-owned wineries and distilleries, has announced its new partnership with Tia Linda’s Margarita.

“We’re pleased to join forces with Tia Linda’s Margarita,” says Dennis Kreps, co-owner of Quintessential. “This alliance brings together two family-run businesses that share a deep commitment to quality and authenticity. Tia Linda’s Margarita stands out with their premium ingredients and exceptional flavors, and we look forward to expanding their presence nationwide.”

Tia Linda’s Margarita is made with real tequila from a small craft Mexican distillery. It’s produced without any artificial flavors, colors, sweeteners or preservatives.

Canned at 18% ABV, this line is designed as a craft cocktail with higher alcohol content for a full-flavored, authentic margarita, the company says.

Founded in 2018 by Meghan Hayward (née Christy), Graham Christy and Mike Stroh, the company later added Dan Christy as Brand Ambassador to reinforce its family-driven mission. In 2020, they launched their flagship margarita, “Classico,” in 1.75L bottles meant to honor the nature of sharing pitchers of margarita. By 2021, they introduced individual cans and three new flavors.

Raised in California with a passion for food and wine, the Christy family, alongside family friend Stroh, founded Tia Linda’s Margarita as a tribute to Aunt Linda.

The canned RTD line comes in four all-natural flavors (with company-provided tasting notes included):

Classico is a citrus blend of Meyer lemon, lime and orange, complemented by hints of tequila and salt. It’s inspired by Aunt Linda’s original margarita recipe, the company says.

Strawberry features freshly smashed strawberries, citrus, and a crisp finish, offering a less sweet, balanced margarita with strawberry flavor.

POG is a tropical blend of passion fruit, orange and guava, complemented by citrus and tequila.

Spicy Jalapeño combines lemon, lime and fresh jalapeño to create a fragrant, “green” margarita.

“We wanted to share Aunt Linda’s margaritas with a wider audience without compromising the quality and authenticity that make them special,” says Hayward, co-owner of Tia Linda’s. “Partnering with Quintessential lets us expand our reach while staying true to the values and flavors that have made Tia Linda’s a craft margarita favorite.”

This follows recent news of Marisco Family Vineyards joining Quintessential’s portfolio.
