Every day is pretty much Margarita Day, but when Feb. 22 falls on a Saturday, look out! There are so many good riffs on the ’Rita so for this National Margarita Day we’re highlighting five colorful choices.

Hibiscus Margarita

Course Drinks
Keyword Ancho Reyes chile liqueur, cardamom, Cointreau, Hibiscus, lime, mezcal, pomegranate juice

Ingredients

1 oz. Mezcal Unión Uno½ oz. Cointreau½ oz. Ancho Reyes chile liqueur½ oz. Hibiscus-cardamom syrup1 oz Pomegranate juice¾ oz. Lime juice

Instructions

Rim an Old-Fashioned glass with pink peppercorn salt.
Add all ingredients to the shaker.
Add ice and shake.
Double strain into rimmed glass.
Garnish with pineapple triangle.

Frozen Watermelon Margarita

Course Drinks
Keyword Cointreau, lime, tequila, watermelon

Ingredients

1 oz. Cointreau2 oz. Blanco Tequila1 oz. Fresh Lime juice¾ oz. Watermelon syrup7 Ice cubes

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend.
Pour into Margarita glass rimmed with chili salt.
Garnish with a lime wheel or wedge

Passion Fruit Margarita

Course Drinks
Keyword agave, lime, mezcal, passion fruit syrup

Ingredients

1 ½ oz. Ilegal Joven mezcal¾ oz. Agave¾ oz. Lime¾ oz. Fresh passion fruit syrup

Instructions

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice.
Shake vigorously
Dump the contents into a rocks glass with a Tajin rim.

Mazatlán-style Margarita

Course Drinks
Keyword cilantro, cucumber, tequila, tomatillo

Ingredients

1 ½ oz. TequilaLime juice to tasteA few fresh cilantro leavesA pinch of saltA pinch of pepper1 TomatilloCucumber with skin

Instructions

Place the tequila, lime juice, cilantro, salt, pepper, tomatillo, and cucumber into a blender.
Blend all the ingredients until smooth.
Serve the cocktail in a glass rimmed with hibiscus salt.
Garnish with cucumber slices and a cooked shrimp.

Margarita Azul

Course Drinks
Keyword blanco tequila, Blue Curaçao, lime, Simple syrup

Ingredients

1 ½ oz. Partida Blanco tequila1 oz. Bols Blue Curacao¾ oz. Fresh lime juice Simple syrup

Instructions

Combine ingredients and shake.
Strain into Margarita glass.
Garnish with lime wheel.
