The World Whiskies Awards 2025 Winners Are In – And GlenAllachie’s Having a Moment

The World Whiskies Awards and Icons of Whisky returned to London with all the usual fanfare last week.

It was a big night in London for both bottles and the brains behind them and there’s a fresh batch of winners to write home about – or at least quietly covet for your drinks cabinet.

At the centre of it all: GlenAllachie’s 12 Year Old, crowned World’s Best Single Malt for 2025. That’s no small feat, and a strong showing for the Billy Walker-led distillery continuing to punch above its weight.

Holyrood Distillery walked off with Distiller of the Year 2025, capping off a rapid rise to prominence for the Edinburgh-based outfit. Over in Midleton, Distillery Manager of the Year went to Jaime Jordan from Irish Distillers – another well-deserved nod in a milestone year.

It was also a good year for Teeling Distillery as it bagged two Icons of Whiskey awards for best Marketing Team and Visitor Attraction Team.

Here’s a full look at this year’s big winners:
