Veuve Clicquot Unveils La Grande Dame 2018

La Grande Dame 2018 marks the 25th vintage since the inaugural 1962 release of this cuvée, which was later introduced in 1972 to celebrate the House’s bicentenary.

This blend includes 90% pinot noir, Madame Clicquot’s favorite grape variety.

Aromas include citrus — lemon, lime, yuzu — blended with white fruit, plus spring and floral notes.

Veuve Clicquot reveals a new visual identity with the launch of La Grande Dame 2018. This new design is meant to celebrate the iconic yellow of the Maison, intended as a symbol of optimism and joy.

LGD 2018 comes in a new case: a yellow box that can be customized, ideal for gift-giving. Each box is sealed with a customizable ribbon, allowing you to add a name or message on all three faces of the gift box. The packaging also stands out for its use of hemp, one of the fastest carbon conversion solutions available on earth. This biomass accounts for 60% in the yellow paper. This gift box is manufactured in Europe.

Available in U.S. markets this month, La Grande Dame 2018 has a suggested retail price of $195 per 750-ml. bottle.

Veuve Clicquot was founded in Reims in 1772. In 1805, Madame Clicquot took the reins of the Maison, and became one of the first modern businesswomen in the industry.
