In partnership with Pronghorn, Chilled 100 Bartenders develop original cocktails that not only showcase their individual style but also highlight the unique qualities of Edmond’s Honor bourbon.
Discover the captivating allure of the Smoky Aztec cocktail, where every sip tells a story of balance and boldness. The smooth, sweet base of Edmonds Honor lays the groundwork, enriched by warm vanilla notes that invite comfort and familiarity.
A spicy honey syrup follows, weaving in a sweet heat that perfectly complements the bourbon, while also cutting through the richness imparted by chocolate bitters. These bitters introduce a layer of dark, indulgent chocolate, deepening the flavor profile with every taste.
To keep the palate refreshed, a splash of lemon juice adds a bright, citrusy contrast. Finally, the Tajín rim delivers a finishing touch — a salty, spicy, and tangy kick that elevates the overall flavor experience to new heights. Together, these elements create a harmonious cocktail that invites exploration and enjoyment with each sip.

The Edmond’s flavor reminds me of Kinda like a morning eating pancakes with maple. That’s why I combined those flavors in a cocktail.
Stir all ingredients and serve.
Since Edmond’s Honor Bourbon has honor in its name. I wanted to craft a cocktail that embodies tradition, integrity, and strength. Perhaps it’s a modern twist on a Manhattan something timeless with a refined edge.

As I was tasting the bourbon, I was looking out my window at the piles of snow. The vanilla notes made me wish to be somewhere warmer and more tropical or at least for spring to arrive in DC. I thought the bourbon would pair well with berries and citrus but also wanted to bring out the almond notes. While there is sweetness from the amaretto and berries, the bourbon gives it a really strong base and the flavors marry beautifully.
