Bacan Guaro, the aguardiente reimagining of Colombia’s national spirit, is expanding its U.S. distribution. Since launching in July 2024, Bacan has more than tripled its footprint and is now available in ten markets.
Co-founded by Diana Espinosa March and Ricardo March, Bacan Guaro is a sugar-free, vegan and kosher-certified spirit made with organic ingredients, according to the company. Available in 24% and 29% ABV, it can be enjoyed over ice, in cocktails or as it’s traditionally been consumed: as a celebratory shot.
Originally available in New York, New Jersey and South Florida, Bacan Guaro is now distributed in eight additional markets:
District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia: Stefano Selections
Kentucky: Heritage Wine & Spirits
Michigan: Great Lakes Wine & Spirits
California, Nevada: Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits
North, Central & Southwest Florida: Morales Beverage Group Distribution
“We set out to elevate aguardiente with a super-premium expression made from organic ingredients—sugar-free, kosher-certified and with exceptional taste and texture,” said Ricardo March in a news release. “In a market where aguardiente is still unfamiliar to many, it’s been incredible to see industry and consumers embrace Bacan. We’re especially proud to be building awareness and excitement around this overlooked category.”
Bacan Guaro retails for $49.99 (700-ml.), according to the company, while a Discovery Box featuring 200-ml. bottles of each strength is also available for $34.99.
