The VinePair Podcast: Food and Beverage Festivals Need a Refresh

Are there any food and beverages festivals that draw in swaths of drinkers anymore? In the past, there used to be several festivals that trade professionals simply had to be at, but in recent years, these numbers have continued to dwindle. And the ones that still do exist often showcase the same producers, products, and talent one can find at a different festival located elsewhere. Ticket sales are dwindling and consumers and brands alike are questioning whether or not these festivals are still worth attending.

Today on the “VinePair Podcast,” Adam, Joanna, and Zach discuss a frequently posed question: What happened to some of the big public-facing food and drinks festivals, and why have they fallen off so dramatically over the last half-decade. Is it just a case of another Covid-prompted change, or has the entire format gone stale? Tune in for more.
