Wine 101: The Fashion of Wine Part IV: Blood of Gods

After broadly exploring the intersection of wine and pop culture last week, we’re narrowing down our focus today to examine a groundbreaking publication that might make some uptight wine snobs roll their eyes. It’s called “Blood of Gods,” and it’s an alternative wine zine that marries wine reviews, heavy metal music, and ‘80s-style comics. There’s no doubt that the project is unorthodox, but it’s also a breath of fresh air in the wine-writing space that explores parallels between music, art, and wine that we never knew existed.

On this episode of “Wine 101,” Keith talks with “Blood of Gods” founder and publisher Stacy Buchanan about how he started the zine, how it’s evolved since its inception, and how you can pair wine with just about anything. Tune in for more.
