SANLight Brings Grow Lighting to U.S. Cannabis Cultivation

SANLight GmbH, an Austrian manufacturer of LED grow lighting solutions, has brought their energy efficient, sustainable technology to outfit large scale cannabis cultivation campuses in the U.S. SANLight Americas LLC brings the European giant’s innovation to the American marketplace.

Founded in 2012 by Martin Anker, MSc, the company, headquartered in Schruns, Vorarlberg, has grown from a one-man garage operation into a major player in the European LED grow light market. In-house R&D includes a fully equipped lighting and electronics laboratory, complete with an integrating sphere for precise PPF (Photosynthetic Photon Flux) measurements, as well as controlled cultivation environments for plant testing and applied research, according to the company. Insights from these trials are continuously integrated into product development.

“We’re excited to bring SANLight’s cutting-edge, sustainable LED grow light solutions — including the EVO, EVO-Compact, and STIXX Series — to the U.S. market. Made in Austria and developed through transparent, science-based research, our lights deliver unmatched efficiency, longevity and performance, helping cultivators and greenhouses lower costs, reduce their environmental footprint and grow brighter. Coming from a background in the car industry — where efficiency, innovation, quality and longevity are key — my passion fuels our commitment to developing products that set new standards in cultivation lighting,” said Martin Anker, founder of SANLight, in a news release.

With current activations from Humboldt, California to New York, SANLight continues to light up from East Coast to West, with eyes on the New Jersey, Maine, Massachusetts, Florida, Las Vegas and Arizona markets. Additional rollouts are expected through the end of 2025 and into 2026, according to the company.

SANlight is continuously collaborating with universities and research institutions to further enhance its product capabilities and support the evolving needs of growers worldwide.
