Australian-themed Outback Steakhouse has added some color to its beverage lineup. The chain recently launched a few limited-time only cocktails that incorporate color-changing ingredients.
The Platypus Punch (shown atop), made with Deep Eddy grapefruit vodka, mango, and Country Style Lemonade, is served with an Aussie platypus figurine and an egg cup to keep. Guests pour the blue color-changing tea from the egg over the cocktail for a unique experience.
Other LTO drink offerings include the Puggle Splash — mango lemonade and blue tea — which also changes color and comes with an Aussie platypus and egg to keep, and the Blackberry Martini, made with New Amsterdam raspberry vodka, pineapple, cranberry juice and blackberry flavors. Drinks range in price from $4 to $12 depending on location.
Other fall menu highlights include a Three Cheese Spinach Dip, Down Under Trio (Bloomin’ Onion petals, Fried Mozzarella Bites and Aussie Cheese Fries), and a Filet topped with Roasted Garlic Butter. Outback’s food and drink LTOs will run through Nov. 11.
The restaurant brand in August introduced Kangaroo Court, its new shiraz cabernet sauvignon blended by Mollydooker. The Australian wine was created specifically to pair with Outback steaks.
