End of the Jam Jar Martini

Makes 1 serving

Ingredients

2 ounces jam or preserves, flavor of choice (still in jar)2 ounces vodka, chilled½ ounce fresh lemon juice½ ounce Simple Syrup (recipe follows)

Instructions

In jam jar with remaining preserves (see note), add vodka, lemon juice, and Simple Syrup. Add ice and shake until cold. Strain into a coupe glass.

Notes

Note: If your jam jar isn’t empty, add ingredients to cocktail shaker with 2 ounces of jam instead.

Simple Syrup

Ingredients

2 cups water1 cup granulated sugar

Instructions

In a medium saucepan, combine 2 cups water and 1 cup granulated sugar; cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool completely at room temperature. Refrigerate in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
