Northern California-based Brassfield Estate Winery just debuted Kendra, a limited-release Cabernet Sauvignon.
Named after founder Jerry Brassfield’s youngest daughter, Kendra Brassfield, this Cabernet Sauvignon was first produced in 2011 in tiny quantities for family and friends, according to the winery. Now, Kendra has made its public debut with the 2021 vintage, coinciding with Brassfield Estate Winery’s 25th anniversary.
“Kendra captures the true spirit of Brassfield — a wine shaped by pride, passion and purpose,” said Jerry Brassfield in a news release. “When I first set foot on High Serenity Ranch in 1973, I knew these volcanic soils could produce something extraordinary. With this release, that dream comes full circle.”
“It is an honor to have my name on such a meaningful wine,” added Kendra Brassfield. “This release embodies both my father’s vision and the spirit of our family. Launching Kendra on my birthday, in the year we celebrate 25 years of the estate, feels like the perfect convergence of legacy and new beginnings.”
The 2021 Kendra is a blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, according to the winery, rounded out with Malbec and Petit Verdot. Kendra has an SRP of $250.
