Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) is celebrating its 18th year as the exclusive provider of wine and spirits for the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by Invesco QQQ (NYCWFF).
The five-day festival is a culinary experience, showcasing the talents of renowned chefs, restaurants, creators, celebrities, wine and spirits producers, mixologists and television chefs through more than 50 events, according to the distributor. Net proceeds from the Festival will benefit Event Zero Foundation (the event’s host and beneficiary), which advocates sustainable event practices, and the James Beard Foundation, focused on building an equitable and environmentally resilient restaurant industry.
“We are excited to welcome back wine and food enthusiasts to the New York City Wine & Food Festival for another amazing year, as we’ve partnered with 65 suppliers and will showcase over 400 brands highlighting their unique portfolios,” said Lee Brian Schrager, chief communications officer and senior vice president, corporate social responsibility for Southern Glazer’s, and founder and executive director of NYCWFF and its sister SOBEWFF festival in Florida, in a news release. “This event is extra special, not only because it’s one of New York City’s most iconic events, but it also supports great causes – and this year, we’re supporting sustainability for both our planet and beloved hospitality industry. We look forward to sharing new experiences and flavors that will delight and excite event-goers, while continuing to preserve the spirit that has made this Festival so special from its very start.”
Since launching, NYCWFF has generated more than $14.8 million for benefiting organizations, according to the distributor. Between NYCWFF and its sister festival, the Food Network & Cooking Channel South Beach Wine & Food Festival presented by Capital One (SOBEWFF), the two events have raised nearly $60 million for their surrounding communities.
Now in its 18th year, NYCWFF is reimagining the festival experience with a brand-new campus in the historic Seaport neighborhood in Lower Manhattan, according to the distributor, offering a waterfront setting for its signature events, including Square presents Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits Trade Day hosted by Wine Spectator, and Grand Tasting: Daytime Edition featuring Sofia and Manolo Vergara, and Grand Tasting: After Dark presented by Montchevre Goat Cheese hosted by Bobby Flay & Brooke Williamson, along with numerous beverage-centric events such as:
