Harvey Chaplin Chair in Distribution, Channel & Experience Management

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) announced that Campari Group, in partnership with Bocconi University, has established the Harvey Chaplin Chair in Distribution, Channel & Experience Management in honor of Harvey R. Chaplin, co-founder of Southern Glazer’s.

The new Chair pays tribute to Chaplin’s enduring influence and celebrates the long-standing collaboration between Campari Group and Southern Glazer’s, according to the company. Assigned to Professor Sandro Castaldo, the endowed Chair focuses its research activities on marketing.

“We are deeply honored by this incredible tribute to my father’s legacy,” said Wayne E. Chaplin, president and CEO, Southern Glazer’s, in a news release. “His values of trust, respect and commitment to excellence continue to guide our family and our company every day. This initiative reflects those same ideals and underscores the power of collaboration in advancing our industry.”

“The Harvey Chaplin Chair in Distribution, Channel & Experience Management consolidates a valuable collaboration between Campari Group and Bocconi University, strengthening the Group’s commitment to education and research on topics that are strategic for businesses,” added Luca Garavoglia, chairman, Campari Group. “The initiative, which pays tribute to the entrepreneurial vision of Harvey R. Chaplin, highlights operational excellence as a key driver in transforming structural conditions into growth opportunities.”

Through the establishment of the Harvey Chaplin Chair, Campari Group has become a partner of Bocconi University, according to the company, contributing to its endowment fund. The fund is an investment designed to sustain the University’s long-term independence and academic excellence.
