Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (Southern Glazer’s) announced the retirement of Tony Truzzolino, Executive Vice President & Managing Director for the Suntory Global Spirits portfolio, effective March 31, 2026.
Truzzolino will retire after a remarkable career in the beverage alcohol industry and 13 years with Southern Glazer’s. He joined the company in 2013 as Senior Vice President of Sales for what was then the company’s Beam portfolio. Prior to that, he served as the Vice President and General Sales Manager for the Beam Global Spirits & Wine business. Before joining Beam, Truzzolino worked at Paterno Wine Importers and Gallo Wine Distributors of New York, according to the company.
“Tony’s exceptional leadership, dedication, and passion have consistently delivered remarkable results and inspired his team to achieve their best,” said Gene Sullivan, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer for Southern Glazer’s, in a news release. “We are deeply grateful for the lasting impact Tony has made and wish him all the best as he embarks on his next chapter.”
In retirement, Truzzolino plans to spend more time with his family and enjoying time on the golf course and pickleball court.
Succeeding Truzzolino will be David (Dave) Turo, most recently the U.S. Chief Commercial Officer for Suntory Global Spirits, who will assume the position on January 5, 2026, according to the company. With more than 20 years at Suntory Global Spirits, Turo brings extensive experience, an established history of driving results and a strong understanding of Southern Glazer’s that positions him to lead with innovation and collaboration across the company.
As part of this transition, Greg Rabinovich, Executive Vice President of Sales Execution for the Suntory Global Spirits portfolio, will report to Turo. Turo will work closely with Truzzolino, Rabinovich and the Southern Glazer’s team to ensure a seamless transition, according to the company.
“We’re pleased to welcome Dave to our Southern Glazer’s family,” said Sullivan in the release. “Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and a fresh perspective that will strengthen our team and continue driving growth for the Suntory Global Spirits portfolio. We’re confident that his contributions will be successful for our business, and we look forward to all he will achieve with us.”
