Wine 101: Mondavi Part I

The tale of Robert Mondavi Winery is one of the most important wine stories in American history. It tracks the journey of Italian immigrants who settled in Minnesota in the early 20th century and ran a boarding house for other Italian immigrants where they kept a cellar of homemade wine. But everything changed when Prohibition hit. Loopholes in the new laws would send the Mondavis to California, forever changing the landscape of American wine.

Today on the “Wine 101” podcast, Keith begins the saga of one of the most famous winemaking families in America. Stay tuned for part two.
