Multistate cannabis operator Ascend Wellness Holdings (AWH), through its CO-LAB For Social Equity program, is sponsoring three free expungement clinics this January, including two held on MLK Day.
These clinics build on CO-LAB’s long-standing commitment to reinvestment in communities disproportionately impacted by criminalization, according to the organization, bringing together legal experts, community organizations, and public-sector partners to remove barriers to opportunity.
Upcoming January Clinics (all FREE):
Newark, NJ | MLK Day (Jan. 19)
In partnership with Blaze Responsibly and Ironbound Community Corporation, providing free expungement assistance for eligible New Jersey offenses.
Springfield, IL | MLK Day (Jan. 19)
In partnership with State Senator Doris Turner (AWH’s second expungement collaboration with her office), with legal support from Rights & Restoration Law Group and community partners Social Change and The Springfield Project.
Trenton, NJ | Jan. 24
A first-of-its-kind statewide expungement clinic co-hosted by the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission, alongside Blaze Responsibly and operators Ascend CO-LAB, Ayr, GTI, Justice Grown, and BLOC Dispensary.
