This episode of The Buildout is brought to you by Farmer’s Gin. Whether you are building a bar, you currently are operating a bar, or you just run a bar at home, you need to have a Martini on your menu — and that Martini deserves Farmer’s Gin. Farmer’s Gin is created by the same amazing people who created Michter’s Bourbon. Every single bar deserves a great gin, and Farmer’s Gin is perfect for creating all of the classic gin cocktails. Farmer’s Gin is made in Idaho at the first organic distillery in the United States. It’s made using Regenerative Organic Certified grain that’s grown on a family farm. The regenerative approach they use supports soil health, biodiversity, and also just creates a really delicious gin. You can learn more by following Farmer’s Gin on their socials — @FarmersGin — or heading to farmersgin.com to learn more.
When Clover Club opened its doors in Cobble Hill, it was among the first to bring a Manhattan-esque cocktail experience to the brownstone-lined streets of Brooklyn. The owners’ original idea was simple: Open a bar with high-end cocktails close to home. But having an idea is almost always easier than executing one, and building Clover Club involved a number of bumps along the way, including a feud between business partners and the onset of Covid-19.
Today on “The Buildout” podcast, Adam sits down with Clover Club owners Julie Reiner, Susan Fedroff, and Christine Williams to learn the full story behind what would become one of Brooklyn’s most influential bars.
