805 Beer Launches Distribution in Minnesota

Firestone Walker Brewing Company is expanding its 805 Beer portfolio into Minnesota. Responding to growing demand, the brewery has partnered with Johnson Brothers’ Artisan Beer Company to launch a lineup that includes 805 Blonde Ale, 805 Cerveza and 8ZERO5 Non-Alcoholic.

The beers are crafted under the direction of brewmaster Matt Brynildson, according to the brewery, a Minnesota native who grew up in Litchfield. Brynildson studied at Kalamazoo College and later trained at the Siebel Institute of Technology.

“Bringing 805 home to Minnesota means a lot to me personally,” Brynildson said in a news release. “I grew up here, and some of my earliest memories of beer culture are rooted in the Midwest—hard work and that feeling of cracking a cold one at the end of the day. 805 is made for those moments.”

“Firestone Walker is one of the most respected breweries in American craft beer, and welcoming 805 to Minnesota is a significant moment for Artisan Beer Company,” added Matt Davis, general manager at Artisan Beer Company. “This partnership brings together a brand with deep cultural relevance and a team that understands how to build it the right way in our market. We’re proud to represent Firestone Walker and excited for what this means for retailers and beer fans across the state.”

The Minnesota launch arrives as 805 Beer builds momentum eastward with its “Long Live Cold Beer” campaign, according to the brewery, which recently debuted during broadcasts of the X Games on ABC and ESPN.

“This is not nostalgia, it’s a recognition that beer has always been there at the end of a long day, after the work is done, when stories get better and time slows down,” said Dustin Hinz, CMO at Firestone Walker Brewing Company, in the release. “That truth still matters.”
