Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and spirits entrepreneur Sammy Hagar continues the national growth of Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum with new distribution partnerships across New York City, northern New Jersey and Wisconsin, expanding the brand’s retail and on-premise presence in key markets.
The expansion builds on the brand’s existing availability in California, Illinois, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas and Canada, according to the company. In addition to retail distribution, the full portfolio is also available for purchase online.
“Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum is all about bringing the spirit of the beach wherever you are,” said Hagar in a news release. “We’re excited to grow our presence in these markets and give more people the chance to enjoy great rum, whether they’re discovering it for the first time or are a longtime fan.”
In northern New Jersey, Kohler Distributing now offers the complete Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum lineup across Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex and Union counties, according to the company. In New York City, New York Wine & Spirits (Manhattan Beer) has added the full portfolio, distributing across 14 counties covering all five boroughs and increasing availability for both on- and off-premise accounts across the metro area.
In Wisconsin, Capitol-Husting Distributors now represents Sammy’s Beach Bar Rum statewide and has secured a significant new retail authorization with Festival Foods, according to the company. Beginning in March, Sammy’s Beach Bar Kola Spiced Rum and Red Head will be available in 42 Festival Foods locations across the state.
“We’re hitting New York, New Jersey and the Midwest, where I have a lot of family who can now get Beach Bar Rum and stay warm and toasty when it’s cold outside, and sip fun party drinks when summer comes like we do in Cali,” said Rick Springfield in the release. “This rum is amazing, and I can’t wait for the uninitiated to try it.”
Hagar will also be taking Beach Bar Rum on the road this summer with the return of his highly-acclaimed, top-grossing “Best of All Worlds Tour,” according to the company. The stateside leg of the tour includes Springfield as a special guest and will run Saturday, June 13 through Saturday, June 27, with stops in New Jersey, Missouri, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Maryland and Massachusetts. Tickets and more information are available on RedRocker.com.
