Let’s all resolve to drink better in the New Year! Start by giving these three drinks that are everyone’s favorite using quality spirits a mix.

Cuvée Auguste celebrates the famous ancestor and founder of the maison, Pierre-Auguste Boulard. The Cellar Master composed this calvados with balanced aromas of apple, vanilla, honey, caramel, and toasted almonds. It is delicate and balanced with discreet hints of oak. Enjoy neat, on the rocks, or in an elevated Old Fashioned cocktail.

Auguste’s XO Old Fashioned

Ingredients

2 oz. Boulard Calvados Auguste XO
1 tsp Simple Syrup
3 dashes Angostura bitters

Preparation

Add the sugar and bitters into a mixing glass, and muddle or stir until the sugar is nearly dissolved.
Fill the mixing glass with ice, add the bourbon, and stir until well-chilled.
Strain into rocks glass over one large ice cube.
Express the oil of an orange twist over the glass, then drop into the glass to garnish.
Add cranberries for an additional festive garnish.
Enjoy!

Spanish Eggnog

Ingredients

1 oz. Dos Maderas 5+5 Aged Rum
1 oz. Gran Duque d’Alba Brandy
½ oz. Williams & Humbert Dry Sack Sherry
1 oz. Milk
½ oz. Cream
1 egg
Optional: Dash of Sea Salt and a pinch of Cinnamon

Preparation

Chill a punch cup.
Add all ingredients to a blender with a little bit of ice (optional) and blend until smooth.
Allow to settle a bit if you don’t want a lot of foam.
Strain into your chilled cup.
Garnish with some freshly grated nutmeg and cinnamon (optional).
