The Master of Malt indie range is back and better than ever

Still Independent. Still obsessed with great whisky.

Hello everyone, it’s us. Master of Malt. We’re not just the retailer to top all other retailers.

We’ve also been bottling the world’s most interesting whiskies for over forty years.

The new and improved Master of Malt indie range

You might remember that last year, we returned to being founder-owned. That gives us some licence. The ability to act fiercely independent. Stubbornly committed to doing things our way.

As part of our effort to do things a little differently, we’ve given our own bottles and labels a long-overdue glow-up.

It is our 40th anniversary this year, after all.

Plus, for the first time ever, you can now find them beyond Master of Malt.

We’re back and better than ever

40 years of Master of Malt

It all started back in 1985. Possibly the world’s first mail-order indie bottler, we posted out monthly catalogues and got back handwritten order forms and physical cheques. Those were the days.

Since then, we’ve grown into the UK’s leading whisky retailer, building a loyal following and picking up a few shiny awards along the way.

But through it all, we’ve stayed true to our roots: a small, passionate team bottling whiskies we love, exactly how we think they should be: never chill-filtered, never coloured, never compromised.

You can buy our Indie Range from retailers beyond Master of Malt for the first time!

The Master of Malt indie range: only whisky we’d drink ourselves

From day one, we’ve only bottled what we’d happily drink ourselves.

Now, to celebrate four decades of that philosophy, we’re sharing our independent bottlings with the wider world. These are one-off releases. The limited, precious, and packed with character.

We hope you love them as much as we do.

Your friends at Master of Malt
