After revealing a stellar inaugural class of 40 Under 40 honorees last year, Beverage Dynamics earlier this year announced a second crop of young leaders that’s equally impressive. Below is just one of the 40 amazing individuals helping innovate and move our industry forward:
Cofounding BeatBox Beverages when she was just 23 years old, Aimy Steadman got started in the beverage alcohol industry at a young age. Since BeatBox’s debut in 2012, Steadman has helped the brand hit multiple milestones, including surpassing $100 million in annual revenue and becoming the top-selling RTD single in U.S. convenience stores.
A proud immigrant-turned U.S. citizen, Steadman was born in Kuwait and previously lived in Syria. As the COO, she oversees sustainability compliance and has led the charge with getting BeatBox to achieve B Corp status.
The company also recently won a Best Place to Work award, which Steadman is particularly proud of.
While building BeatBox into the leading brand it is today, Steadman says one of the biggest challenges she’s faced has been navigating rejections and setbacks.
“We faced countless rejections from potential investors, retail buyers/distributors and other skepticism over the years growing BeatBox,” she explains. “You must learn from each rejection and make your business stronger, and sometimes learn when to not change anything, stay true to yourself and your brand, and that not every potential partner will be a fit.”
Steadman’s work doesn’t stop at BeatBox. She continually participates in speaking events, such as for her alma mater, the McCombs School of Businessin Austin, TX. She also frequently speaks to aspiring (or current) entrepreneurs, offering them advice and telling them about her experiences.
Steadman is also a board member of the Naturally Network, Naturally Austin, and Entrepreneurs Organization: Austin.
On top of setting goals for herself, Steadman sets herself up for success by meeting monthly with fellow entrepreneurs.
“They provide reflection back to me on things I might not notice by myself and help me stay on track,” she says. “They have been an amazing support system for me since we started meeting in 2018!”
