New Riff Adds 6YR Bourbon to Single Barrel Selection

New Riff Distilling’s single barrel program continues to grow, with the Northern Kentucky distillery now offering 6-year bourbon barrels for selection.

Single barrel selections have been popular with bourbon clubs, corporate groups, bars and retailers — who can now choose between 4- and 6-year bourbons as well as 6-year rye whiskey. Some barrels are available for next day pick up and in fractional barrel increments.

“For years, New Riff has offered an exceptional Single Barrel Experience — intentionality is a cornerstone of everything we do and that ethos certainly extends to the experience we offer to those who choose to pick a barrel with us,” says Mollie Lewis, New Riff President. “We’ve consistently offered single barrels chosen by our team at retail, but the pick experience truly highlights the individuality and character of our whiskeys.”

Each Single Barrel Selection Experience includes full tours of the distillery and West Campus, where New Riff houses the rickhouses and bottling hall and hosts single barrel picks in a turn-of-the-century tasting room. After, guests go to a post-pick stop at The Aquifer Tasting Room.

Currently, New Riff 6-year-old Single Barrel Bourbon is exclusively offered as a single barrel selection by the whole barrel — and not available at retail unless picked as part of a store’s own barrel selection.

The distillery also offers 4-year-old Single Barrel Bourbon and 6-year-old Single Barrel rye for barrel selections, and those may be purchased in customizable quantities starting at just 90 bottles. New Riff is one of a few distilleries offering fractional single barrels.

Additionally, New Riff offers several pickup options, including next day pickup (for additional fees and subject to availability). New Riff can also ship single barrel selections to many states once bottled.

New Riff will continue to offer staff-picked single barrel selections at retail, aged 4 years for both bourbon and rye. Consumers may find retailer-picked selections for sale at local shops in both 4- and 6-year offerings.

This follows the recent release of New Riff 2025 Single Malt.
