Kōloa Rum Announces Distribution with Reyes Beverage Group

Hawaii-based Kōloa Rum Company is entering into a new distribution partnership with Reyes Beverage Group (RBG) in California, effective July 1st, 2025. The distributor transition follows RNDC’s recent announcement that it will no longer operate in California.

“California has always been a vital market for Kōloa Rum, and this transition ensures we can continue building momentum in the state,” said Bob Gunter, president and CEO of Kōloa Rum Company, in a news release. “We’re pleased to partner with Reyes Beverage Group, whose strong presence and proven capabilities in the market will support our continued growth. We remain grateful to RNDC for their longstanding partnership and look forward to continuing our relationship with them in other markets.”

This transition comes after Kōloa Rum launched its newest innovations, Kōloa Kaua‘i Cane Fire Hot Cinnamon Flavored Hawaiian Rum and Kōloa Kaua’i Single-Batch Aged Rum, according to the company. Founded in 2009, Kōloa Rum produces a portfolio of rums using cane sugar and rainwater from Mount Waiʻaleʻale. All rums are distilled, blended and bottled at the company’s distillery in Kalaheo, Kaua‘i.

Kōloa Rum is currently available in 36 states, according to the company, as well as select international markets, and is the first licensed distillery on the island of Kaua‘i since the end of Prohibition.
