With fall beer season kicking into gear, another classic will return for 2025: Dogfish Head Punkin Ale.
This 7% ABV brown ale is brewed with real pumpkin, organic brown sugar and a warming spice blend, meant to deliver the kind of “bold, full-bodied flavor that resonates with fall beer drinkers,” the brewery says. “First brewed in 1994, Punkin Ale has built a loyal following as a seasonal favorite.”
On the nose is cinnamon, all spice and nutmeg, according to the producer. The palate brings cinnamon, brown sugar and pumpkin.
Punkin Ale was named after the southern Delaware event, Punkin Chunkin.
