Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits (“Southern Glazer’s”) is celebrating its professional truck drivers in honor of National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, established by the American Trucking Associations, from September 15-19, 2025.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the outstanding efforts of our logistics and distribution teams,” said Bobby Burg, senior vice president, operations and chief supply chain officer, Southern Glazer’s, in a news release. “We have the best team members in the industry, and we truly appreciate their contributions and the value they bring to our organization each and every day.”
Throughout National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, Southern Glazer’s truck drivers will be celebrated for their contributions with surprise-and-delight moments, including meals, Southern Glazer’s branded apparel and other tokens of appreciation. Fun activities and events will also take place across all markets to recognize their outstanding work, according to the distributor.
Warehouse team members were also celebrated during their recognition week with meaningful activities such as meals, gifts, festivities and more, according to the distributor.
“Our logistics and distribution professionals are a testament to our daily success,” said Ron Flanary, senior vice president of national operations, Southern Glazer’s, in the release. “They are central to everything we do, and we’re proud to honor their dedication as they continue serving our customers, suppliers and communities every day. We couldn’t do it without them.”
Alongside recognizing milestones achieved by the logistics and distribution teams, Southern Glazer’s has also established programs to reinforce safety, according to the distributor. One example is the Elite Safe Driver Recognition Program, which honors drivers who achieve 20 consecutive quarters, or five years, of safe driving without a preventable collision. Eligible drivers receive milestone rewards, including a gold ring set with diamonds and monetary bonuses to honor their commitment to safety.
“We take pride in our safety culture at Southern Glazer’s, and our team members embody it every day,” said Kay Yoder, senior vice president of environmental health, safety, risk management, business continuity, and sustainability, Southern Glazer’s, in the release. “Their commitment to upholding—and exceeding—safety standards has set the bar high, creating a workplace that others view as a model of excellence.”
