Angel’s Envy 10 Cask Strength debuts today, the distillery’s first-ever age-stated release.
This limited-edition whiskey launches nationwide on October 10. The October 10 release date carries significance. Originally planned as the launch month for Angel’s Envy in October 2010, founder Lincoln Henderson chose to delay the debut until the whiskey met his standards, the company says. The release of Angel’s Envy 10 Cask Strength on this date brings that history full circle.
Bottled at 122.6 proof, this expression is one of the brand’s most robust releases to date. It was developed under the management of Master Distiller Owen Martin.
“Angel’s Envy 10 Cask Strength represents more than just a decade of aging — it embodies the dedication, precision, and passion that our team pours into every bottle,” says Martin. “I’m incredibly proud of how this expression pushes the boundaries of what we’ve achieved with our cask releases, using a deft touch to balance a refined port character at a bold cask strength. It’s a milestone that reflects both our journey and the artistry that goes into every step of crafting a whiskey worth savoring.”
Angel’s Envy 10 Cask Strength opens with aromas of sweet cinnamon toast and creamy fruit nougat layered over candied nuts, according to the distillery. The palate has notes of baklava, followed by apricot, crème brûlée and cognac, accented with a hint of grains of paradise. The port barrels influence comes through on the finish, delivering notes of rum raisin cake.
Only 24,480 bottles roll out nationwide, at select U.S. retailers and at the Angel’s Envy Distillery in Louisville, KY. Angel’s Envy 10 Cask has a suggested retail price of $249.99 per 750-ml. bottle. A limited number of bottles will be available for purchase online at angelsenvy.com.
This follows the national launch of Cellar Collection Series, Vol. 5 Straight Rye Whiskey Finished in French Oak Extra Añejo Tequila Barrels.
