Highland Park Launches Cask Strength: Heather

Highland Park, the Orkney distillery, just debuted Cask Strength: Heather, a limited-edition single malt crafted with 100% Orkney peat-smoked barley.

Cask Strength: Heather is bottled at cask strength and is matured in first-fill European and American sherry-seasoned oak casks and select refill casks, according to the distillery. On the nose, the whisky features notes of bonfire smoke, vanilla and brandy butter. On the palate, marshmallow and macadamia are offset by peppery spice and floral smokiness.

Cask Strength: Heather is non-chill filtered and bottled at a cask strength of at 63.6% ABV, according to the distillery. The SRP is $80.
