Members Only, the clothing brand best known for its 1980s-era bomber jacket, turns 50 this year and has unveiled its first bar and showroom in New York. The three-level space, which opened in the West Village on Nov. 21, aims to bring the brand’s signature attitude to life: an energetic 30-seat ground-floor bar serving playful twists on classic cocktails and elevated comfort food; a mezzanine showroom selling the latest collections; and a 45-seat, lower-level lounge designed for celebrations, social gatherings and private events.
The beverage program at Members Only pays homage to the nightlife eras that shaped its identity, featuring a mix of classic cocktails and playful shots inspired by the 1980s and ’90s. The bar team designed the drinks to reflect an iconic Members Only jacket, allowing guests to match their cocktail to their style. “These cocktails carry the soul of shoulder pads and synch beats, Walkmans and dance floors, reimagined with sophisticated vibrant and refreshing flavor profiles,” according to the menu.

For instance, the Blue Lagoon is a nod to the neon palette of the ’80s; it’s made with coconut rum, blue Curaçao and lime. The Rusty Nail blends Scotch, amaro, and Caffo Solera; and the Tequila Sunrise combines reposado tequila, orange juice, grenadine and bitters. Other highlights include the Cuban Daiquiri made with rum and fresh lime; the infamous Long Island Iced Tea, reimagined with yuzu vodka, viejo blanco, white rum, gin, lemon and Coca-Cola; the Saffron Screwdriver, with yuzu vodka, saffron liqueur and butterfly pea flower; and the Singapore Sling, channeling the Tiki bar revival of the ’90s with gin, Cherry Heering, Cointreau, pineapple, Benedictine and bitters.

The Spicy Mango Margarita, made with tequila, Giffard mango and chile liqueurs, and the Cosmopolitan with vodka, cranberry, lime and Caffo Red Bitter round out the drinks list, alongside an array of Martinis — Classic, Espresso, Pornstar, Vesper and French. The shot menu includes the Brain Hemorrhage, with peach schnapps, Irish cream liqueur, and grenadine; the Mind Eraser with vodka, Kahlúa and soda water, sipped through a straw over ice; Liquid Cocaine with Jägermeister, Goldschläger and Rumple Minze; and the Yes Daddy, made with bourbon, chilled espresso and cinnamon syrup.
Cocktails are priced at $18. Members Only, which is in fact open to the public, also offers globally inspired bites such as Oysters with Wasabi Granita ($26), Gochujang Fried Chicken ($22), Bistec Tacos ($24), Truffle Fries ($13), and Chocolate Bread Pudding with Berries ($18).
