Second Sip Announces New Partnership with Southern Glazer’s

Second Sip, a low-ABV gin brand, has announced a new U.S. distribution partnership with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits. This partnership enables broader access for both on- and off-premise accounts nationwide as the brand looks to enter multiple new markets in the new year.

“We couldn’t be happier to partner with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits,” said Sharelle Klaus, co-creator of Second Sip, in a news release. “Their expertise, reach, and dedication to innovation in the industry are unparalleled, and we have tremendous respect for the team. This partnership allows us to bring Second Sip to more people who value quality, balance, and thoughtful imbibing, and we couldn’t be more excited to grow the brand with them.”

Created by industry leaders Sharelle Klaus, Nick Strangeway and Leo Robitschek, Second Sip was developed to provide a full-flavored gin option at a lower alcohol content (20% ABV). Distilled in small batches at New York Distilling Co., the spirit uses a dual-phase production process to maintain botanical integrity and structure, according to the brand. Key botanicals including juniper, coriander and angelica are distilled in a copper pot still, while the three citrus elements–lemon, bitter orange, and bergamot peels–are processed separately to ensure balance.

After distillation, the brand explains that a concentrated juniper CO₂ extract is incorporated to restore depth and mouthfeel often diminished in lower-ABV spirits. Umami from seaweed and a touch of Maldon sea salt is also added.

“From the beginning, Second Sip was created with the belief that great spirits are built through collaboration and care,” said Second Sip co-creator, Leo Robitschek, in the release. “Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits shares that philosophy, making them an ideal partner as we expand our distribution footprint. Together, we’re excited to introduce Second Sip to new people while preserving the integrity of what makes the gin special.”

“When we set out to create Second Sip, we wanted to rethink how it fits into modern drinking occasions,” added co-creator of Second Sip, Nick Strangeway. “Every botanical choice was intentional and the production process executed with precision, resulting in a spirit that’s refined, versatile, and rewarding with each pour – hence the name. In that same spirit of intention, our decision to partner with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits was equally deliberate, allowing us to bring the liquid to more people while staying true to the vision behind the bottle.”

Second Sip is currently available via secondsip.com and at select retailers and bars, according to the brand, with a suggested retail price of $39.99 per 750ml bottle.
