Yellowstone Releases 2026 Limited Edition Finished in Ruby, Tawny Port

Yellowstone Bourbon has released Yellowstone Limited Edition 2026, the 11th annual expression in its Limited Edition series, beginning at select retailers nationwide in August.

The release carries a suggested retail price of $99 per 750-ml. bottle.

Master Distiller Stephen Beam created the bourbon by blending 7-year-old and 14-year-old Kentucky straight bourbons. He finished the bourbons separately in Ruby Port and Tawny Port casks before marrying the blends and bottling the whiskey at 101 proof.

The release draws inspiration from the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone National Park and the contrast between light and shadow across the landscape, according to the company.

“Every Yellowstone bottle is inspired by the park, and this year I kept coming back to the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone National Park,” Beam explains. “The way the sunlight moves across the canyon transforms what you see from moment to moment. Using Ruby and Tawny Port casks allowed me to capture that contrast and translate it into a bourbon that feels dynamic and complete.”

According to the company, the bourbon opens with aromas of charred oak, blackberry, plum and piloncillo. The palate features caramelized sugar, dark fruit and dark chocolate while the finish includes dark chocolate, roasted nuts and clove.

Yellowstone Bourbon traces its origins to distiller Joseph Bernard Dant, who introduced the brand in 1872. Limestone Branch Distillery revived the brand in 2011 under the direction of Beam.

Yellowstone Bourbon is part of the Luxco portfolio, which operates as the branded spirits division of MGP Ingredients Inc. since its 2021 acquisition.
