The rum cocktail from Little Bird in Fairhope, AL, transforms the classic Hurricane into something unexpected and elegant.

Ingredients
2 oz. Orange oleo3 oz. Fresh lime juice4 oz. Planteray 3 Star rum4 oz. Planteray O.F.T.D rum6 oz. Overbrewed passion tea4 oz. Coconut milk
Instructions
Combine all the ingredients except the coconut milk in a container.
In a separate container, pour the milk in, then slowly pour the cocktail mixture in.
After fully mixed, slowly stir to make sure milk min incorporated.
Let sit for at least four hours or until you can see separation, ideally overnight.
Using a mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth, or a chemex coffee filter, slowly filter the cocktail mixture into a container.
At first it will filter through quickly, once it has slowed down to a slow dip transfer the strainer to a new container and pour the mixture that was already been through the filter, back through again.
Let strain for 24 hours, discard the filter.
