Richard Sandoval Cocktail LTO Celebrates Latin Culture

Richard Sandoval Hospitality has partnered with El Tequileño to launch a limited-time cocktail collection available at participating restaurants nationwide. The proceeds from the drinks help spotlight Chef Richard Sandoval’s Old Ways, New Hands initiative, a mentorship and accelerator program dedicated to empowering the next generation of Latin entrepreneurs.

Inspired by the vibrancy of contemporary Latin cocktail culture and the versatility of El Tequileño’s portfolio, the limited-time cocktail collection brings the spirit of Old Ways, New Hands to guests at Richard Sandoval Hospitality restaurants across the country. The Collection, available from July 21 through Oct. 15 in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, includes:

Guava Rita (shown atop): A blend of El Tequileño Blanco, GuavaRita Mix and Jalisco orange liqueur

Elote Cantarito: El Tequileño Reposado, Nixta Licor de Elote, Cantarito juice blend and grapefruit soda

Old Ways Old Fashioned: El Tequileño Añejo, Demerara syrup and Angostura bitters

As part of the collaboration, Chef Sandoval recently led this year’s class of culinary entrepreneurs on a three-day Mentorship Residency in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico. Hosted at Casa Salles, the experience combined entrepreneurship education with authentic cultural immersion. Participants took part in one-on-one mentorship sessions, workshops covering branding, digital marketing and restaurant operations, as well as immersive cultural experiences designed to deepen their connection to their heritage while sharpening their business and culinary skills.

The residency reflects the broader mission of Old Hands, New Ways, blending business education, culinary innovation, and cultural storytelling to equip participants with the tools needed to build thriving businesses while honoring their heritage. Beyond hosting the cohort in Tequila and supporting the immersive educational experience, El Tequileño awarded five $5,000 small business grants to participating entrepreneurs, providing meaningful resources to help fuel the continued growth of their businesses.

Richard Sandoval Hospitality operates 60 Latin concept restaurant locations across four continents, 13 countries and 10 U.S. states.
