Baker’s Bourbon has brought back Baker’s 13, a limited-edition single barrel bourbon aged 13 years and bottled at 107 proof, as Baker Beam celebrates his 90th birthday this year.
Beam, the grandnephew of Jim Beam, serves as the namesake of Baker’s Bourbon.
The 13-year-old bourbon is meant to highlight differences that can develop among barrels based on aging time and warehouse location. The company describes the bourbon as having notes of fruit, vanilla and caramel on the nose, followed by oak, toasted nuts, vanilla and fruit on the palate and a rounded finish.
Baker’s 13 is currently available with a suggested retail price of $149.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
