The Glenlivet has introduced The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Provence Edition, a limited-edition single malt Scotch whisky inspired by the flavors and culture of Provence in Southern France.
The 40% ABV expression uses The Glenlivet 12 Year Old as its base and receives a finish in a combination of Château Sainte Marguerite white wine, Rivesaltes and Sauternes casks. The brand says the finishing process contributes notes of white peach, nectarine, pear and citrus.
“With the Provence Edition, we wanted to take The Glenlivet somewhere unexpected,” said Kevin Balmforth, The Glenlivet Master Blender. “By actively monitoring the finishing process and carefully balancing the influence of Château Sainte Marguerite, Rivesaltes, and Sauternes wine casks, we have created a whisky that delivers vibrant orchard fruit, elegant floral notes, and exceptional complexity.”
The release continues The Glenlivet’s “Beyond Speyside” approach, which the brand introduced with The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Jamaica Edition in 2025. The series uses cask finishing to connect Scotch with flavors and influences associated with destinations outside Scotland.
The Glenlivet will support the Provence Edition with consumer activations and culinary partnerships. The brand launched Le Café du Whisky in New York City on Sept. 17, featuring a collaboration with pastry chef Michelle Palazzo of Frenchette Bakery.
The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Provence Edition comes bottled at 80 proof.
