Laphroaig Brings Back 15-Year-Old Whisky as Permanent U.S. Offering
Laphroaig has brought back its 15-Year-Old single malt whisky as a permanent addition to the brand portfolio. The expression joins Laphroaig 10-Year-Old and Laphroaig 18-Year-Old in the distillery’s age-statement lineup.
Laphroaig matured the whisky for 15 years in American oak bourbon casks. The single malt has notes of sea salt, smoke, black pepper, cinnamon, cloves and coriander, according to the distillery, followed by peach and grapefruit on the finish. The additional maturation time allows the peat smoke to soften and integrate with the spirit, according to the distillery.
The return of the 15-Year-Old in the U.S. includes a partnership with Women Who Whiskey, a whiskey club founded in 2011. The organization has nearly 20,000 members across two dozen chapters and is marking its 15th anniversary this year.
Laphroaig and Women Who Whiskey will host private tasting events for members in several U.S. cities to mark the return of the expression.

Laphroaig 15-Year-Old comes bottled at 46% ABV and has a suggested retail price of $89 per 750-ml. bottle. It is available nationwide in the U.S.
