Martignetti Companies has completed the acquisition of Republic National Distributing Company’s Control State operations. The transaction includes the states of Alabama, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia and Wyoming.
This acquisition enables Martignetti to offer a complete control state platform, giving its supplier partners and customers a single, unified solution across every control state market in the U.S., the company says. Taunton, MA-based Martignetti is building an expanded platform for growth that combines deep local market expertise with broader scale and resources to better serve supplier and customer partners across markets it serves.
RNDC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in July. The wine and spirits distributor has been exploring potential sale transactions in court and winding down of its remaining operations.
