Heaven Hill has announced the latest release in their annual Bernheim Barrel Proof line: A224.
All releases in this series follow a standard naming system. The “A” in the name stands for the first batch in an annual A, B line. The “2” denotes the release month, February, while the 24 represents the current year.
Heaven Hill produces this brand at the previously named Bernheim Distillery in Louisville.
The mashbill consists of 51% wheat, 37% corn and 12% malted barley. This is the same mashbill used in the standard Bernheim Original Wheat Whiskey.
Poured straight from the barrel, this whiskey ages between seven and nine years in Heaven Hill’s traditional rickhouses.
A224 is 125.2 proof.
Bernheim Barrel Proof is a nationally allocated product released twice per year. The suggested retail price is $64.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
This follows the recent releases of Elijah Craig Barrel Proof A124 and Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 18-Year-Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey.
