If you want to celebrate Pride in style with some delicious cocktails then you’ve come to the right place. Crystal Head Vodka has come up with a series of Pride-themed drinks, perfect for dancing the night away. We’ll take a look in a sec, but first let’s take a look at Crystal Head Vodka!

Dan Aykroyd in Ghostbusters

The Crystal Head story

It was created by top Canadian actor Dan Aykroyd, who you might remember from films such as Ghostbusters, Grosse Pointe Blank, and Trading Places, and artist John Alexander, who you probably don’t know, but we’ve just Googled him and he looks like he knows his way around an easel. This was way back in 2008, which is ancient history in terms of celeb drink collaborations.

Aykroyd was looking for a vodka that was made only with natural ingredients and free of post-distillation additives. It’s made from corn (maize) grown in Chatham-Kent which is in Ontario Canada and not to be confused with Chatham, Kent which is in England. It’s distilled at the extremely no-nonsense sounding Newfoundland and Labrador Liquor Corporation distillery.

Pride celebrations

Crystal Head launched its famous rainbow Pride bottling in 2020 but, according to marketing manager Daniella Vizzari: “We’ve been proud supporters of the LGBT community long before introducing our Pride bottle. Our connection with the LGBT community is rooted in our shared celebration of creativity and self-expression.”

The brand works with the UK-based Kaleidoscope Trust – which is “dedicated to upholding the human rights of LGBTQ+ people globally and across the Commonwealth” – and makes a charitable donation for every bottle sold. In addition it works with various organisations in the US.

It’s important for Crystal Head that supporting LGBT people isn’t just something that happens in June. Vizzari explained: “We believe that celebrating LGBT communities should extend beyond Pride month. It’s positive to see more companies showing support, but consistent year-round advocacy and inclusivity are essential to fostering genuine support and visibility for LGBT individuals and causes.”

Right, here are some delicious cocktails produced especially for Pride with Crystal Head Vodka. Let’s get this party started!
