Master of Malt’s Whisky Championships are back for 2024!
The Master of Malt Whisky Championships is back! After 2023’s triumphs for Bruichladdich and The Sassenach, a host of distilleries and brands are ready to vie for your attention and try and take the crown.
How does the Master of Malt Whisky Championships work?
It’s so simple to get involved.
Our followers on social media have already voted for the brands they wanted to be included, and we narrowed those names down to just 32 names with the highest number of votes.
Then you vote for your favourites. Voting begins today (Monday 5 August) and there will be a total of five rounds in which brands will be pitted against rivals at random.
Voting will take place on the Master of Malt Whisky Championships page, as well as social media: Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (X).
Simply give the name you love a click and submit your vote. But note, only one vote per person will be counted. You can only vote once.
It’s a straight, World Cup-style knockout, so once your favourite loses a tie – that’s it! It means you HAVE to get involved if you want to see them succeed.
The winner will be announced on Monday 12 August.

Tuesday 6 August – second round with 16 whiskies
Wednesday 7 Aug – quarter-finals
Thursday 8 Aug – semi-finals
Friday 9 Aug – finals
Saturday 10 Aug – voting closes
Monday 12 Aug – announcement of the winner
