In March, Pernod Ricard and Brown-Forman confirmed that they were in talks regarding a potential combination of the two global drinks corporations. However, this week, Pernod Ricard said discussions with Brown-Forman regarding a possible merger have ended without an agreement.
The talks concluded because the companies “were unable to reach mutually acceptable terms,” according to a press release yesterday.
Pernod Ricard said it continues to prioritize its existing plans and business operations.
“Pernod Ricard remains fully focused and confident in its strategy and operating model, supported by strong and committed teams across the Group to deliver sustainable long-term value for all stakeholders,” the company said in a statement.
