Vodkade just debuted a new limited-edition Grape flavor. This zero sugar ready-to-drink cocktail contains 90 calories, zero carbs, is gluten-free and 4.5% ABV.
“Grape is one of the most iconic sports drink flavors out there. Everyone has a memory attached to it. Once we saw the gap, we had to fill it,” Doug Mars, director of business development, Vodkade, said in a news release.
Like the rest of the Vodkade lineup, Grape is non-carbonated and made with vodka, natural fruit flavors and electrolytes, according to brand notes. It delivers the classic sports drink taste with a kick and joins the existing Original and Zero Sugar roster of Fruit Punch, Orange, Berry Cherry and Lemon-Lime, and is available in 8-packs of 12 oz cans.
The Grape launch coincides with market expansion to the East Coast. This summer, Vodkade will roll out into New Jersey, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington D.C. and Maryland, according to the brand.
“Michigan and Ohio showed us the appetite is there well beyond our home markets. That gave us the confidence to move fast. We were already planning to bring Vodkade east, adding Grape to the lineup for that moment just felt like the right call,” Mars added in the release.
