Johnnie Walker Blue Label Launches Indian Festive Blend

Johnnie Walker has introduced Johnnie Walker Blue Label Indian Festive Blend, a limited-edition Scotch whisky developed for India’s festive season. The launch continues the brand’s collaboration with Indian designer Rahul Mishra for a second year.

Master Blender Dr. Emma Walker created the blend using whiskies from Johnnie Walker’s reserves. Diageo says the whisky was developed to complement Indian cuisine and draws on flavors associated with the country’s festive food.

“I was captivated by the artistry of Indian cuisine, the way chefs balance bold spice with harmony, elegance and depth,” Walker said. “That sense of balance became my inspiration for this special Blue Label blend.”

“By layering aromatic notes of cardamom, clove and cinnamon with smooth sweetness and our signature depth of flavor, we’ve created a whisky that complements the richness of India’s festive table while remaining unmistakably Johnnie Walker Blue Label,” she added.

According to Diageo, the blend has notes of cardamom, saffron, rosewater, citrus, honey, chocolate-dipped fruit and warm spices, along with smoke.

The release marks the second year of the Johnnie Walker Blue Label and Mishra collaboration. Mishra designed the packaging for the new expression.

“For this year’s Indian Festive Blend, we wanted to create something that felt truly special for the moments that bring people together during the festive season,” Jamie Young, vice president of Scotch at Diageo, said. “By pairing a vibrant new design with a new blend of our exceptional whisky, this release celebrates the warmth of gathering, the generosity of gifting and joy the season brings, while honoring the communities and traditions that continue to shape it.”

The launch also begins a broader Johnnie Walker Blue Label campaign with Mishra that will include consumer experiences and events in the coming months.

Johnnie Walker Blue Label Indian Festive Blend is available now at spirits retailers and online, for a suggested retail price of $220 per 750-ml. bottle.

This follows the recent release of Johnnie Walker Black Cask Blended Scotch Whisky.
