Did you know you can make fried rice in the air fryer? My Air Fryer Fried Rice recipe takes something already simple and makes it even easier. You get golden, slightly crispy rice, tender veggies, and the best flavor with hardly any effort.
It’s Almost Too Easy! You just toss it in the air fryer, give it a stir or two, and you’re done. This is the kind of dinner that saves you on busy nights.
Hands Off Cooking: Once it’s in, you can help with homework, clean up, or just sit down for a minute while it cooks.
Perfect for Leftovers: This is my favorite way to use up day-old rice and whatever veggies are hanging out in the fridge.
This dish was such a fun one to make in the air fryer, and now I can’t stop doing it this way. I love serving it with some Egg Rolls and Teriyaki Chicken for an easy, takeout-style dinner at home.
Prep: Line the air fryer basket, then add cooked white rice, sesame oil, soy sauce, garlic powder, frozen veggies, and diced onion.
Cook: Toss everything together in the rice mixture until evenly combined, then spread into an even layer and air-fry at 400°F for 6 minutes.
Add Eggs: Remove the air fryer basket, stir, then make a well for the eggs. Whisk 2 eggs in a small bowl, then pour into the well, then air fry for an additional 4-5 minutes.
Stir, Cook, and Serve: Once the whites have set, then break the eggs into the rice and stir to combine, then cook for an additional 1-2 minutes. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve.
Air Fryer Liner: Use an air fryer liner to keep the rice contained and make cleanup easy.
6 Quart Air Fryer: Use a big enough air fryer that you don’t overcrowd the Basket. 6-quart air fryer.
Fridge: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. Reheat in the microwave until heated through.
Freezer: Store in a freezer-safe airtight container for up to 3 months.
Make Ahead: Fried rice is best made with leftover cold rice. Make the rice a day or two in advance or use leftover rice.
If you’re like me, you love your air fryer as much as I do. These are some of my most popular recipes on the blog! Let me know which one is your favorite!
