Southern Glazer’s Hires Glendal Vandenbempt

Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits announced on Sept. 10 it has appointed Glendal Vandenbempt as managing director of the newly established Gold Division, effective Oct. 5, 2026.

In this role, he will lead the corporate Gold Division, a business unit of Southern Glazer’s Beverage Company, providing support across New York and Colorado, while also overseeing the Anheuser-Busch portfolio in all markets where Southern Glazer’s represents Anheuser-Busch brands. Vandenbempt will report directly to Mark Chaplin, president, commercial sales.

Vandenbempt brings more than 18 years of global experience in the consumer goods industry, spanning sales, operations, technology, finance and more. During his career at Anheuser-Busch InBev, he held several executive leadership roles across North America and Europe.

Most recently Vandenbempt served as A-B InBev’s vice president integrations within the business and wholesaler development, U.S. team, where he led national strategic partnerships, commercial strategy, digital initiatives and route to market transformation efforts. Previous roles included vice president of digital sales and operations U.S., vice president of technology strategy & deployment, North America, and executive director of on premise (HORECA) for Belgium
